MESSY HANDS
SUMMER ARTS CAMP
July 13-17, 2026
Since 2012, Messy Hands Summer Arts Camp has provided high-quality arts education to school-aged kids & teens in Vermillion, SD, and the surrounding area.
We believe art is more than just a skill—it’s a way for kids & teens to process emotions, connect with others, and uncover new passions.
Our goal is to expand opportunities, introduce new art forms, styles, and mediums, and ensure that even more kids & teens have access to a safe, inspiring space where creativity leads the way.
Kid Camp is all about fun, creativity, and trying new things!
Kids get to move, make art, and get a little messy while making new friends and exploring exciting activities. Each day brings new experiences that help campers discover new interests, set new goals, and feel proud of what they create. It’s a place to imagine, laugh, and be yourself while having tons of fun along the way!
Teen Camp is a safe, welcoming space for teens to explore creativity,
express themselves freely, and feel supported during the summer, when structure and resources can be limited. Our programs are designed to help young people discover new creative outlets through hands-on making while fostering confidence, community, and a sense of belonging.
Fueling creativity.
We are excited to partner with the school’s Summer Lunch Program to offer lunches for our campers this year. This partnership allows us to ensure that all of our campers’ creativity is fueled to the max, and allows us to accommodate food allergies and maintain food safety.
