Design Your Flag!

The Community Flag Project is a collaborative public art endeavor created by the USD University Art Galleries, supported by the VCA’s Imagining Community series.

University Art Galleries has designed and built a Gallery Flyer mobile art tool to cycle around town. They’ll be using the flyer to bring flag design kits to pop-up events and create other on-the-go art interventions.

Flag design kits come with a helpful primer on flag design and a pennant to draw your design on. Kits are also available at the public at the Vermillion Public Library and the Coyote Twin Theater. An exhibit of imaginative flags designed by community members is planned for spring 2021.
