The Watering Can
The Watering Can was founded to fill a need in the Sioux Falls area, and support artists and creatives in their business and professional development. It is our hope to empower artists to succeed in both terms of productivity and financial stability, allowing them to pursue their passion and contribute to the vibrancy of our community.
Arts South Dakota
Working for art. Arts South Dakota provides vital support to our state’s arts sector through communication initiatives, programming, and unified advocacy.
South Dakota Arts Council
Established in 1966 and funded by the State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, the South Dakota Arts Council (SDAC) is a state agency serving South Dakotans and their communities through the arts. Recognizing the importance of creativity in the lives of all South Dakotans, the Council makes quality arts accessible throughout the state by providing grants, services and information to artists, arts organizations, schools and the public. The Council is the advisory board to the SDAC staff within the Department of Tourism. Council members are appointed by the Governor.

We support, inform, and celebrate arts organizations and creative communities in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, the Native Nations that share this geography, and beyond.
Springboard for the Arts
Springboard for the Arts' mission is to support artists with the tools to make a living and a life, and to build just and equitable communities full of meaning, joy, and connection. Since our founding in 1991, we've spent over 30 years delivering resources locally and nationally tailored to creative workers and piloting bold ideas rooted in local needs. Today, we have offices in Saint Paul and Fergus Falls, Minnesota and work with groups across the country to cultivate and strengthen their own creative ecosystems.
